What's Your Legacy!?
I am not one who is really good with words, and expressing my feelings in a very "articulous" way (if that's even a word), but there are just some things that need to be shared no matter how I slaughter them. Thankfully I have many great friends who can interpret for me, and other great friends who just know what I'm trying to get out. So please bare with me.
The beginning of this summer was filled with many HIGH hopes for me personally and as a family. However, all that changed in the blink of an eye. On Memorial Day, Randy, my husband, received a call that his mother had passed away during the night. This was quite a shock as we were just there the night before for our regular Sunday routine. The shock was more than words can describe and still today (months later) it's hard to grasp that she is really gone. We only lived 5 minutes down the road from Ima (randy's mother). We visited her almost daily and she was a BIG Part of all our lives in everything we did.
I haven't posted anything about this because I just really wasn't sure how to. Then I read my friends blog and she put it perfectly. "I alternate between joyful rememberance and heartbreaking sadness over the profound loss I feel."
A few years ago my husband was diagnosed with cancer. We didn't know what to expect, and I was torn as to how I could, for lack of better wording, "Bottle him Up". I didn't want my newborn child to never know his father. The only way I knew how to "Bottle him up" was to scrapbook the memories of him so Jaden would always know his father loved him. Well, time has passed and Randy recovered and all is well, but know I'm faced with the same situation for my children's grandmother. How to "Bottle her up" sort to speak for them the always remember. It is at this time that I am SO grateful that I am a "Heritage Maker". I have the opportunity to make sure that her legacy lives on and is remembered through the power of storybooking.
A dear friend of mine was working on her Blog book - from her inspiration I created a "Facebook Profile" book. My neice created a FB Profile for Ima where family and friends could post their memories of this wonderful lady who had touched their lifes in so many different ways. This book is the first publication of her legacy that my children now get to enjoy.

UNBELIEVEABLE!!!
CAN YOU BELEIVE THIS!?
I just found out about this special as I was working events last weekend and couldn't believe what I was hearing, so I had to come read it for myself.
Yes, I'm absolutely CRAZY if I don't participate in this sale!! And it doesn't even matter if I already have 1300 points in my account! (remember we've updated our purchasing system to points rather than credits making it easier to switch products as wanted. 1point = $1.) Usually I'd say don't tell Randy how much $$ I've spent, but in this case I've earned MANY of my points from workshops so I don't mind that Randy knows I have 1300 points in my acct.... do you know how many projects I have to create?! I need LOTS more points, LOTS, lots, lots MORE!! LOL And when you're getting 1/3 MORE points than the cost... HELLO! I'm SO there!

It's Time for HALLOWEEN!!!
Ok, so recently my children have been noticing Halloween out in the stores. Well, I guess I should back up and tell you a little back ground about our family. If you know us well, you already know that the Sigua's are REALLY Big Halloween fans, in fact we have more Halloween Decor boxes than we do Christmas!! Every year we put on Halloween Carnival for Family and Friends. So this year I'm thinking of something new games we could play for the kids. Using some ideas and even projects from a very special friend Here is what I've come up with SO Far!!! Let me know what you think! :O)
"Ghostly" Bean Bag Toss(18x24 poster) only $25 - Cut out Circles, then Laminate (of course cut out circles where Lamination is again) If you try to cut both paper and lamination at same time you will ruin your poster. Then you can either hang up your ghost for bean bags to fly through, OR You can put a card board box behind him. :o)

Frankenstein Says... (like Simon Says, on a 18x24 poster) only $25 - Laminate and in the center of the circle you'll put the spinning wheel to spin, and then do the action that Frankie's finger points too . :o) I'm still working on the circle which will be printed on an 8x8 page for like $2.50ish
Halloween Bingo Cards (12x12 pages) - Cut out and Laminate.
Then of Course you could also do a "Pumpkin" cake walk - print pumpkins on 12x12 paper, cut out and Laminate and use over and over EACH YEar!! OH the Possibilites!!
Now I've also found cute Halloween Decor for you Home as well!! We have halloween Tiles, and I'm currently working on "The Witch is..." Sign, and other fun Halloween idea's too.

Christmas is COMING!!
Are you Feeling it!? I am!!! I was watching one of Heritage Makers Master Classes a couple of weeks ago and Lynda Angelastro showed this WAY cute idea with a deck of cards!! So of course I had to get it and Play with it, I mean just LOOK at how cute this ReinDeer IS!!!
This is made out of a NEW Art Collection and its such a fun idea! When I get it at home I'll post a picture but what you do is tie the cards together with ribbon to make a banner!!! CUTE Huh! With the extra cards, I made a Thanksgiving "give thanks" banner, and then some Name places for dinner place settings... Check it out!
Ok, so that was REALLY really Fun... and I'm working on more... So keep your Eyes OPEN!! :o)
